An original decoration for a Christmas tree can be made by gluing gold cones from origami paper.
You will need:
Gold paper for origami (square size with a side of about 15 cm)
Thick colored paper, it will be inside the envelope, and is needed for lining. (in our version, a combination of purple and turquoise).
A small velor or velvet tape (about 15 cm on each cone) + additional on a loop, for which the cones are suspended.
Hot glue gun.
Cut out squares of the same size from paper.
Glue glossy colored paper and gold-colored origami paper together. This is best done in a well-ventilated area on a protected surface using an adhesive spray.
On each square, mark with a compass, and then cut a semicircular shape. Cut a semicircle, and then roll up cone-shaped paper, taking care not to damage it.
Cut the edging from the braid for the upper edge and glue it with a glue gun, adding a drop of glue every couple of centimeters.
Glue the ends of the tape to the opposite sides of the cone to hang it on the Christmas tree.
